Summary

The header search bar is now a frosted glass surface with stacked blend modes so the contrast-band splines read through it. Splines sit under the search chrome in the header stack instead of painting on top.

Highlights

  • .ftn-header-search: transparent backdrop-filter blur, multiply frost (light) / screen (dark), and a hard-light / plus-lighter radial wash for color punch.

  • Contrast band drops to z-index: 5; nav and search stay at z-10. Band SVG pulls up slightly so threads reach the search row.

  • Typeahead dropdowns stay portaled at z-60; inputs get a soft text shadow for legibility over moving color.
