2026-08-17 — Homepage Download CTA and store badges

Summary

Marketing / now has the same detecting Download treatment as DevCentr.app / InstaLay, plus official-style store badges. The product web app stays on this origin.

Highlights

  • Download button matches the visitor OS/arch (userAgentData + UA fallback) with an override <select> and copy like Windows x64 detected.

  • Latest GitHub release is fetched for FoodTruckNerdz/ftn-app (10-minute cache). Windows prefers setup.exe then zip then MSIX; macOS prefers DMG; Linux prefers AppImage/deb/rpm/tar.gz. Android APK/AAB (and IPA if ever published) can appear as a sideload link.

  • Store row uses harbored official badge artwork: Apple App Store SVG, Google Play SVG, Microsoft Store dark/light SVG. Buttons stay disabled / Coming soon until NEXT_PUBLIC_GOOGLE_PLAY_URL, NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_STORE_URL, and NEXT_PUBLIC_MICROSOFT_STORE_URL are set.

  • Header Download jumps to /#download. Empty GitHub releases disable the primary button (No release yet).

  • No app.foodtrucknerdz.com split. The 2026-07 redesign already made / marketing-only with Browse/Search on the same host. That recorded IA still matches “the homepage needs a Download button,” so the Flutter web client was not moved.

Follow-ups (not in this pass)

  • First Flutter GitHub release with named desktop/mobile assets.

  • Live store listing URLs (Play, App Store, Microsoft Store).

  • Optional app.foodtrucknerdz.com only if product and marketing need separate hosts later (DNS + deploy), not required for Download.
